Chicken Gnocchi Soup Ingredients
8 chicken breasts
12 cups of water
1/3 cup chicken soup base
1 t. thyme
1T. parsley
2 cups carrots
1/2 t. pepper
4 C. Gnocchi (I buy it frozen from Meijer and slice them into 3-4 pieces.)
White sauce:
2 cups onion
3 T. chopped garlic or 1 ½ T. garlic powder
3 sticks or 1 ½ cups butter
2-3 cups flour
3 cups milk
Measure the water and soup base and put them in a large soup pan. Turn the heat to medium high.
Cut up the chicken breast into bite size pieces. When the water is bailing add the chicken to the soup pot.
Peel and chop up the carrots. Add them to the soup pot.
Add the thyme to the soup pot.
Now add the sliced Gnocchi to the pot and boil for 8-10 minutes. Then lower the heat.
Chop the onion and garlic.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan.
Add the onion and garlic and cook until it is translucent.
Add the flour. Then slowly add the milk to it.
10.Slowly thicken up the soup by stirring in the white sauce to the chicken soup pot.
